This house had been lovingly restored by its owners using heritage materials like renewed lime pointing externally and internally. We were by the client to underpin a large 16th-century Oak beam that span the length of the room and held up the house. This job needed a light touch and some good calculations which we worked closely with the structural engineer to complete.

The room had underfloor heating installed, then was then filled with a breathable limecrete slab, the materials compliments of ‘Ty- Mawr lime’ of Brecon. Finished with a polished coat of NHL5 to give an almost marble effect. We also completed drainage around the property and plumbing is ready for the new bathroom to be installed.
