Engineering Safety with Traditional Stonemasonry and Coastal Charm

This challenging coastal site demanded a carefully orchestrated approach to stabilize a cliff face located around 10 metres above sea level. Working around tides and unpredictable weather, the Build Wales team poured a solid concrete base to secure robust gabion baskets, ensuring the property’s long-term protection from coastal erosion.

To harmonize with the local environment, we incorporated local stone and expert stonemasonry, creating a durable yet aesthetically pleasing retaining structure. The project culminated in a usable patio area above—allowing residents to safely enjoy panoramic sea views while making the most of their unique coastal setting. Through thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship, this cliff now stands as both secure and scenic, embodying our commitment to excellence, integrity, and commitment in every project.
