Build Wales recently completed an extensive refurbishment and extension of a high-spec beachside property in Borth. The goal of the project was to create a home that could withstand the harsh winters and enjoy long summers on the beachside. The building renovation project required a full asbestos removal inside and out, as well as extensive structural work to the main back wall of the house and the loft to create an open plan space.

The exterior of the property was given a modern update with the use of burnt larch cladding on the ground floor and Equitone rainscreen cladding on the first floor. The exterior was further enhanced by the addition of a frameless glass balustrade system. Inside, the house was fully decorated with breathable paint finishes, and exposed timber was used tastefully in some of the rooms to add character and warmth.
